Olive Tree International have selected Bahrain as their newest development region as it is a growing commercial region, with significant amounts of new investment being made into infrastructure and awareness.
Property prices are around 50% of Dubai prices, representing great value, particularly with the high rental demand generated by a growing expat community.
Richard Brady of Olive Tree said "We have quality 'inside information' on the Bahrain region, as our Operations Director lived there for six years, when working as the General Manager of a large financial services group. This has allowed us to source high quality developers and the best sites". Olive Tree's research over the past few months has lead to them now releasing a brand new executive apartment tower, close to the capital of Manama. This will be ideal for professional expats looking for quality accomodation, with prices starting from as little as £100,000 for an apartment of 102 m2.
It would appear that Olive Tree International are not the only people to think that Bahrain is an excellent up and coming area to invest in.
The Economic Development Board (EDB) recently signed a five year agreement memorandum of understanding (MoU) which it said will see a large number of events held to promote the kingdom as a top destination for events and conferences.
The five-year agreement was signed by EDB chief executive Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, and CMFME vice-chairman and managing director Osama Al Khajah.
Plans to hold various events including international forums and exhibitions on clean technology, and investment promotions - taking advantage of Bahrain's position as a regional financial hub.
The two institutions agreed the MoU will "positively contribute to developing knowledge, trade, industrial and technology driven investments and therefore enhance the position of Bahrain as a strategic platform in the Middle East to host leading international events and road shows."
"We are proud and honoured to establish this strategic alliance with the EDB to implement our project, which is of mutual interest, and will impact positively on economic development of Bahrain and its position as an international centre for conferences and exhibitions," added Mr Al Khajah.
CMFME, a member of the Monaco-based Crans Montana Forum Group, is a worldwide think-tank focusing on dialogue and addressing the major social and economic issues in the Middle East.
